As Investment Advisor Representatives (IAR), Macino Financial Services offers professional, down-to-earth advice so you can make the best financial decisions for you and your family. Our primary objective is to educate you about your retirement options and develop a retirement income plan for retirement.
If you have worked with a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) in the past, we understand that you may feel confused about the differences between an IAR and RIA. We address some of the biggest differences below.
Macino Financial operates independently, which means that we do not represent specific companies and have no incentive to promote one product or service over another.
As an IAR, Macino Financial Services is a fee based investment advisor. This means he receives compensation based on a percentage of each client’s manages portfolio of assets. Our compensation increases as you earn money and decreases if you lose it. Not only does this avoid a conflict of interest, it motivates us to be personally invested in your success.
As IARs, we have a fiduciary duty to act in the best interests of our clients 100% of the time and always make your needs our top priority.
Whether you’re just starting to plan for retirement, plan to retire in a few years, or need help choosing the best portfolio for wealth management, MFS is here to help.
We trust that you have done your research and already have a good idea of what you would like to achieve. Although Macino Financial has proprietary investment strategies, meaning funds managed by specific money manager owned by the firm, we only recommends these if doing so would be the best investment decision for you.
We present information to you in a straightforward manner while considering your individual tolerance for risk. For example, we might recommend a small yet guaranteed return for clients averse to risk and a high return yet riskier fund for those comfortable with uncertainty.
We are highly knowledgeable in the financial service arena and work with you to set up and manage your 401K, IRA, or other retirement plan based on facts instead of emotion. We care about our clients and follow up with them regularly to see if there is anything else we can do today and help them plan for tomorrow.

Fiduciary duty extends solely to investment advisory advice and does not extend to other activities such as insurance product sales, including annuities, life insurance, and long term care insurance or broker dealer services. Advisory clients are charged a monthly fee for assets under management while insurance products pay a commission, which may result in a conflict of interest regarding compensation. IAR is also a licensed insurance agent. In this capacity, IAR may offer fixed life insurance products and receive normal and customary commissions. The client is under no obligation to purchase products through IAR on a commissionable basis. In addition, IAR may receive other compensation such as fixed or variable life trails. The potential for receipt of commissions and other compensation when IAR acts as an insurance agent may give IAR an incentive to recommend insurance products based on the compensation received.
Index or fixed annuities are not designed for short term investments and may be subject to caps, restrictions, fees and surrender charges as described in the annuity contract. Guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims paying ability of the issuer.
